- Debian or Ubuntu Linux with systemd. Setup installs packages with
apt-get. - Root over SSH, for pairing and setup, or a user with passwordless sudo and
--sudo. Setup writes systemd units, manages services withsystemctland installs binaries to/usr/local/bin. Preflight checks for Linux, root, systemd and free disk, and stops with a clear message if one is missing. - The node services themselves run as an unprivileged system account that setup creates, never as root.
